We travel the length and breadth of Britain to find out how the Victorians built Britain.  We uncover the incredible and surprising stories behind iconic landmarks; discover the hidden heroes behind the epic constructions; and find out how the incredible advances made by the Victorians, forged the way we live life today. This is hands-on, immersive history, trying out practical experiments that reveal the ingenuity of the Victorians from engineering to medicine, bringing the 19th Century era to life.  

Series 1 covers transport, sanitation, home and industry.  Series 2 covers trains, ships, bridges, leisure, health, law, sewers and culture.
